The controversial bill that would give one parent the right to change the religion of a minor has been withdrawn, but the issue is not dead. For ethnic Malays, the choice to become a Christian is an enormously costly one, but one that many have bravely faced. To leave the national religion is often seen as leaving behind one’s heritage and culture, though that is not the call of Christ. Christian Malays face pressure from both outside and inside their own families, and some even face torture. Please pray for the freedom of all Malays and pray that God’s Word will continue to reach hearts throughout the country. Read more at http://www.mnnonline.org/article/18730.
