Pastor Samuel was not an insurgent Maoist. But in 2004, police arrested and charged him as one. Despite the pleas of the Christians who knew him, he remained behind bars. In 2010, he was finally cleared of all charges. His family was elated. But delays in court hearings and national issues kept him behind bars until 2013. By the grace of God, Pastor Samuel is now free! Though he struggled with discouragement and depression at times during his imprisonment, he also shares that God helped him accept that there was a purpose to his time in prison.
