Prayer requests from India, Tajikistan, South Asia, and Indonesia

Not one of the Gandla people in India has understood and accepted the love of Jesus—yet.  Please pray for these unreached people, that God’s word and his love will reach their homes and their hearts. You can read more here: http://www.globalprayerdigest.org/index.php/issue/day/Gandla-People/.

How would you feel if the state was permitted to hand out punishments and fines for religious activity, without any investigation or legal proceedings?  New penalties in Tajikistan are leaving Christians facing just that situation, along with other new fines and penalties restricting religious freedom.  Please pray.  You can read more here: http://www.MNNonline.org/article/17614.

As a baby, Champak was abandoned and left to die.  But God stepped in and rescued him.  As a young man, he rebelled, choosing to reject others before they could reject him.  But God stepped in again.  Pray for the many like Champak, who need to know there is a God who loves them and will never ever abandon them.  You can read his story here: http://www.gfa.org/news/articles/his-life-almost-ended-on-the-tracks/?c=1&cm_mmc=GFA-_-Email-_-2903832-_-120828%20Digest%20125%20(4)

Kusno hated Christians.  That was what he had been taught, and that was what he taught his sons in Indonesia.  He heard things that encouraged this hatred.  But, God used what Kunso saw to slowly change his heart.  Please pray that each of us, as Christians, will live lives God may use to change someone else’s heart.  You can read Kusno’s story here: http://www.kidsofcourage.com/?p=5565.

Prayer requests from Southeast Asia, Thailand, Pakistan, and Turkey

When was the last time a bicycle changed your life—or the life of someone you know?  Pastors in Southeast Asia don’t have to think long to answer that question.  For them, a bicycle means they can reach thousands of people who live too far to reach by walking.  But, in a world where the needs of daily life often cost more than their income can afford, a bicycle is simply out of reach.  Please pray for these pastors, and if you could, please consider lending them a hand.  You can read more here: http://www.mnnonline.org/article/17582.

Please pray for teams of students who are reaching out to the Lahu people of Thailand with the truth that God loves them.  Please pray for open minds and understanding hearts.  You can read more here: http://www.mnnonline.org/article/17586.

Pakistan is considering anti-conversion laws, and this raises a great deal of concern for Christians in Pakistan and neighboring India.  Though the stated intent of some anti-conversion laws is to protect minority religious groups, it often has the exact opposite effect.  Read more here: http://www.mnnonline.org/article/17589.

People in Turkey need your prayers as their government considers various proposals concerning a new constitution that would help protect religious freedom.  But, an agreement is still distant.  You can learn more here: http://www.mnnonline.org/article/17591.

Niger received as much rain this past weekend as it had received total in the seven months prior.  Flooding is adding to a food crisis, refugee situation, and cholera.  Please pray for these precious people, that they would see God’s faithfulness to them through this difficult time.  And, please pray for pastors and other relief workers, for them to have the strength and supplies they need to help.  You can read more here: http://www.MNNonline.org/article/17583.

There’s nothing to eat.  How many times have you said that?  How many times have you meant it literally?  The people of Burkina Faso, including tens of thousands of refugees from neighboring Mali, are facing a food crisis.  Critically low food supplies are expected to dry up completely in September.  Please pray for God to provide for all of those in need, both with the spiritual hope and the physical assistance they need.  You can read more here: http://www.MNNonline.org/article/17585.
